Francesco Magisano
Francesco Magisano is an elite para-triathlete and para-cyclist with two national podiums and several first place wins. He started in 2017 as a member with Achilles International, a leading adaptive running nonprofit and, in May 2019, joined the staff as Director, helping to build TriAchilles, the multisport triathlon team. He now leads the NYC Metro Region chapters and is responsible for the Achilles’ adaptive running and cycling programs across all five boroughs of New York City.
As a certified coach, he works to create long-term health and fitness in people of all abilities and backgrounds through strength and conditioning, and cardiovascular endurance training. He has experience working with youth, seniors, professional elite athletes, and people with disabilities on a 1-on-1 level and virtual setting. His passion is to help people explore and push the limits of their capabilities and watch them build a more healthy and happy life regardless of where their journey begins.
Emily Glasser
Emily Glasser joined Achilles International as Interim Executive Director in August 2019 and was named President and CEO in November 2019. Emily brings with her over a decade of experience managing strategic partnerships for top-tier cultural institutions and innovative mission-driven startups. Her skills have been developed at large institutions such as Deutsche Bank and MoMA as well as the startup Goalsetter. Through her work with Achilles, Emily hopes to advance understanding of the importance of inclusion and accessibility in all elements of society and culture. An avid runner, Emily believes firmly in the elevating power of sport for all.
Emily is a graduate of Dartmouth College and resides with her husband and two daughters in New York City.
